At the back of the house Allen is building a retaining wall, incorporating large rocks which were found when the land was excavated for the house. He is making a path about two thirds of the way up to provide access to any plants which we will put in, and for weeding and maintainance. Allen has completed the garden to the right had side of the front steps and has terraced it and made a rockery. After months of managing without all the little luxuries of things like a sink, running water and drainage we have at last got the plumbing finished. The cupboards have been installed and doors and handles put on, and the kitchen is now functional. There is just the tiling to do, the kick-boards and maybe another floor cabinet to go in on the right hand side, at a lower level to accommodate the oven/hob, which at the moment is a bit too high to be comfortable to use. ]]>
